Black Peak

Black Peak, or Kalanag Peak, the highest peak in Saraswati mountain range, the name Kalanag is being given to the mountain because the top of the mountain resemble the shape of Cobra, therefore the peak is called Kalanag or a Black peak. The peak is the most challenging one, only professional climbers can hit this trail towards Black peak. Nestled at an altitude of 20,960 Ft. Black peak is the most dominating peak of the entire Bandarpunch massif. The peak is close to Ruinsara Valley, and the first person who climbed the Black peak was JMT Gibson in 1955. Black peak is located in the Govind national park area, and is known for its diverse flora, and fauna.
